Job description

  • The current strategy includes a Dojo, a training and coaching.
  • The coaches rotate in and out of the Dojo.
  • While in the Dojo the Agile Coach works with one team for 6 weeks to build the team pairing with a technical coach.
  • When outside of the Dojo the coaches are hosting different training classes as well as coaching and working towards the ACE strategy to help move Agility forward.
  • Consult multiple software development teams in project initiation, organization, goal and change management aspects of Agile. 


    • Organize, lead and motivate multiple development teams, clarifying objectives and removing obstacles from their ability to achieve expected results. 
    • Discover opportunities to champion agile values and adoption within assigned development teams
    • Develop agile training materials and process guidelines
    • Deliver Agile training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching for Business and IT participants at the team level
    • Facilitate cross functional team coordination and communication across various technical teams
    • Collaborate with Product Owners and other project stakeholders to identify and clarify needs and to report on progress and impediments Assess development teams against Agile best practices and provide recommendations to Information Technology leaders


    • Drive enterprise-wide Agile adoption strategy.
    • Provide training, workshops and materials to increase quality, velocity and efficiency of software engineering.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience. 
    • 5+ years of combined software engineering and Agile coaching experience. 
    • Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and XP Agile frameworks. 
    • Working knowledge of one or more development languages required. 
    • Must have experience with IDE tools (Visual Studio, IntelliJ, WebStorm, etc.).
    • Prior experience coaching at the team level and with leadership
    • Experience working thru the strategy part of a transformation
    • Application development or technical experience is a plus


    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar certification preferred.
