Are you a Sr Solution Architect with the agility and the creativity to lead a comprehensive technical solution strategy, while addressing technology issues, assessing customer IT challenges and determining the technology needed to insure customer adoption of the proposed solution? 

We’re seeking a versatile technical and business-oriented Sr Solution Architect with experience developing business opportunities, building customer solution mapping, establishing C-level relationships with the customer’s technical leadership and working closely with the customer-facing teams. The primary objectives of this position are to drive increase in market share, revenue growth and increase in customer satisfaction.   

As a Sr Solution Architect, you will partner with the Account Executive in planning and prioritizing opportunities for utmost productivity and efficiency, while overseeing the Professional Services engagement at the right time with the right resources.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales/customer-facing/technical roles selling software, hardware, and services.
  • 5+ years of experience in Retail industry, Working with large retailers as a consultant, service provider, software provider or from an end-user perspective.
  • Industry areas of focus include Food, Drug, Mass Merchant (FDMM), Petroleum Convenience Retail (PCR), and Department/Specialty Retail (DSR)
  • Excellent English, including both oral and written communication, with high-level presentation skills
  • Expertise in new and upcoming retail technologies
  • Strong relationship management and  interpersonal skills

  • Preferred experience in the retail technology Industry, specifically the Food, Drug, & Mass Merchant (FDMM) segment, including Point of Sale, Inventory Management, Marketing & Loyalty solutions, fuel and foodservice solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Key Areas of Responsibility 

    • Able to lead technical initiatives and partner with key technical stakeholders to create a solution offering and plan according to initiatives and objectives defined through discovery
    • Help define, architect and deliver solutions that optimize business growth and customer satisfaction
    • An active participant at customer and internal meetings, as necessary
    • Jointly create, manage and execute account opportunity close plans side by side with the Account Team.
    • Validate that the software, hardware and services offering aligns with the client’s objectives
    • Monitor and report on market and competitor’s activities
    • Communicate and report internally on opportunity status; escalate issues when required without delay
    • Influence buyers on existing and new product offerings and be able to articulate the solution value
    • Take lead on new and up coming retail technologies by staying up to date with the industry, partners and internal solutions
