Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and calibrate instrumentation for process measurements such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, weight, etc
    • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and configure process control equipment such as variable speed AC drives, analog valve positioners, PLCs, and I/O modules
    • Use a PC and required software to view PLC Ladder Logic for troubleshooting and interpreting equipment operation and control requirements
    • Demonstration of aptitude in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment is essential
    • Install conduit and wiring as needed for motors, lighting, and control devices such as valves, limit switches, photocells, etc
    • Must have a general maintenance knowledge and ability to work in any area including helping a mechanic or performing mechanic duties
    • Experience using formal CI tools for equipment and processing improvements
    • Must show ability for self-study and the ability to learn and improve on their own
    • Must be knowledgeable in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, PCs, and other test equipment
    • Must have basic knowledge of testing and working with electrical switching devices such as starters, relays, timers, and solenoids
    • Knowledge of discrete I/O devices such as photocells, limit switches, inductive and capacitive proximity switches, push buttons, current sensing relays, message displays, Panel Views 1000
    • Must have understanding of analog instrumentation, PID control, PLCs and Ladder Logic
    • Possess an understanding of electricity, electrical systems, electrical motor control systems, and process control instrumentation. This includes, but is not limited to 480 Volt 3 Phase motor switchgear, 120 Volt control systems, PLC systems, and 4-20ma analog instrumentation

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma required, College or Technical Education from accredited institutions preferred, Journeyman's training is beneficial
    • 4 year's experience in electrical maintenance within the food industry 
    • Experience with new equipment installation
    • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial power distribution, steam and PLC controlled equipment
    • Strong mechanical apptitude 
    • Experience using CMMS including MVP Plant
    • Candidates must be able to work a 12-hour swing shift (3 1/2 days on with 3 1/2 days off), as well as certain weekends/Holidays
